Day 2

Also in Dayton is the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force which is the largest museum of its type in the world. This newly expanded facility traces the history of flight from early ballooning to modern day space travel. Explore exhibits such as U.S. and foreign military planes, space capsules, and if available, early Presidential planes. This afternoon watch some of the best pilots in the world showcase their skills at the annual Vectren Dayton Air Show. It is considered among one of the country's premier aviation events including the Navy Blue Angels.

Day 1

Travel to the place where American aviation began: The Wright Brothers Cycle Company Complex in Dayton, OH. At this location, Orville and Wilbur Wright became actively interested in the idea of flying. Included at this fascinating site is the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, Aviation Trail Inc. Visitor Center, Museum, and the Wright Cycle Company building. Take time to visit the Parachute Museum. The next museum is Carillon Park, containing more than 20 buildings, this museum is dedicated to the history of transportation and the impact the Dayton area had on it. Included is a 1905 Wright Flyer and exhibits on canal, train, bicycle, auto and aviation history.
