Day 1

You will travel through the colorful hills of Pennsylvania on your way to Connecticut for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you continue north. Visit the Submarine Force Museum in Groton, CT, home of the historic ship Nautilus. Your next two nights will be spent in South Yarmouth, MA.

Day 3

Start your day with a Hyannis Port tour. The 35th President loved his family compound and summer home on Cape Cod. "I always go to Hyannis Port to be revived, to know again the power of the sea and the master who rules over it and all of us." View St. Francis Xavier Church and drive past the Kennedy Family Compound, stopping for photos at the John F. Kennedy Memorial overlooking Lewis Bay. Then on to the John F. Kennedy Museum in Hyannis. On a narrated 1-hour cruise of Hyannis Harbor, you will see the beautiful shoreline, local landmarks, and popular beaches on the way to an ocean view of the Kennedy Family Compound. Cape Cod National Seashore Park was established in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy. Enjoy views of the Great Salt Pond, the Atlantic Ocean, and a film about the geological formation of Cape Cod.

Day 4

Today's adventure starts with a driving tour highlighting the Kennedy's connection to Newport, RI. As a child, Jacqueline Bouvier spent summers in Newport on Hammersmith Farm - a Victorian mansion and estate overlooking Newport Harbor. Your narrated tour along Bellevue Avenue takes you past magnificent "summer cottages" built during the Gilded Age, including the Breakers Mansion where the Kennedy's attended an America's Cup Ball. You will also view Saint Mary's Church and Hammersmith Farm. An included lunch features a video presentation including excerpts of the Kennedy wedding, with music from their wedding ceremony and reception! A narrated 1-hour cruise of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay will take you past Fort Adams, beautiful yachts, and spectacular water views of Newport's exquisite mansions, including the best view of Hammersmith Farm. Free time to enjoy the shops, restaurants, boutiques, and galleries along beautiful and scenic Newport Harbor.

Day 5

Today, enjoy a self-guided tour of the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston, MA, where Kennedy's thousand days in office is brought to life in 25 dramatic exhibits. Free time for lunch and shopping at Boston's #1 Tourist Attraction - Quincy Market. Tour of Boston - Featuring the Freedom Trail - 16 historic sites from the Colonial and Revolutionary era as well as sites pertinent to the life of John F. Kennedy. See his birthplace in Brookline, and walk through Harvard Yard where Kennedy attended college. See the Massachusetts State House and the statue of JFK striding across the lawn. See Omni Parker House where Kennedy gave his first speech at age 7 and where he held his bachelor party and announced his run for Congress! Walk to Boston's North End and see the St. Stephens' Church where Rose Kennedy was baptized and her funeral services held.

Day 6

Begin the journey home. Enjoy a visit to the Mark Twain House & Museum. Mark Twain remains one of the most beloved and most widely read authors of all time. Tour the Connecticut State Capitol and Legislative Office Building. Overnight stay in Connecticut.

You will continue homeward through the welcoming hills of Pennsylvania.
